The Fukuoka Experience
This atelier is a 10-minute walk from Tenjin. Visitors can experience calligraphy in a quiet room filled with the aroma of ink and surrounded by calligraphy works. You can take home the small works you create as a souvenir. If you want to see the art gallery, make a reservation in advance.
The artist Keisetsu, who is highly acclaimed not only in Japan but also in New York and Europe, teaches beginners in an easy-to-understand and detailed manner. Her calligraphy lessons are very popular because students can visibly improve their writing skills.
Atelier Yūga is the studio and gallery of Keisetsu, an artistic calligrapher. All classes at Atelier Yūga are one-on-one private lessons.
The classroom space doubles as a gallery for Keisetsu's works. The appeal of this space is that students can learn calligraphy in a tranquil and quiet atmosphere.
Trial lessons are also offered on a one-on-one basis. You can learn how to handle tools, hold a brush, sit correctly, and many other aspects of calligraphy.
