A hands-on facility where you can make wax food samples. Why not try making models of parfaits, cakes, tempura, nattō rice, etc. that will make you want to eat the real thing? There are no rules, and you can freely enjoy adding toppings to suit your own tastes. There are also goods in the store that can be used to take SNS-worthy photos.
Food sample making experience! You can take interesting photos, too.
At Sample RiKi Inc., located in Minami-ku, Fukuoka City, you can make food samples. Food samples are elaborate models made of wax or synthetic resin to resemble various foods, dishes, and beverages. They are considered a uniquely Japanese culture. Why not make a scrumptious looking food sample that you will want to eat?
Experience making a parfait, the most popular item.
You can make your original parfait sample. Choose from one of two types of parfait glasses and six types of sauces. You can also choose five parts from many kinds of topping, so there is no chance your parfait will resemble others.
Try this if you prefer dynamic food samples!
It's just like the real thing! Gooey nattō gohan (rice topped with fermented soybeans) looks realistic, and the ikura donburi (salmon roe on rice) looks very delicious. What's more, they come with chopsticks that are suspended above the dishes. The dynamic motion of the chopsticks makes it a piece you'll have fun photographing.
Some courses are made from traditional wax materials.
If you choose the wax course instead of the synthetic resin course, you can make food samples such as half-boiled eggs, crispy tempura, and even lettuce with the veins of the leaves accurately reproduced.
